About the breed
"Purr, Pounce, Play"
The Ragdoll is a cat breed with blue eyes and a
distinct colorpoint coat. It is a large and
muscular semi-longhair cat with a soft and
silky coat. Developed by Ann Bake in early 1960,
it is best known for its docile and placid
temperament and affectionate nature.
Ragdoll cats often are known as "dog-like cats"
or "puppy-like cats" due to behaviors such as
their tendency to follow people around, their
ease at being physically handled, and their
relative lack of aggression toward other pets.
Ragdolls are a large breed, they are slow maturing cat and can take up to 3-4 years to become fully matured. Ragdoll Males can weigh 6-8kg and females 4-6kg.
Ragdolls have a soft semi-long coat which does not require extensive grooming. Ragdolls are born white, acquiring their colouring and patterning with age. Full colour may not we evident till 2-3 years of age.

Colour Point
Has colour on paw tips, tail, tears and face. Keeping in mind a colourpoint has a darker shade of colour over its body.

Mitted
A mitted cat has white on its paw tip, white on it rear legs and a white chin and chest. The ears and tail remain coloured as in the colourpoint.

Bicolour
Bicolour cats have white paw tips, white on it rear legs and white on it chin and chest. Bicolour cats have a white inverted “V” on the lower part of the face. A bicolour ragdolls body may be mostly white with splashes of colour or with solid colour covering the body.
